Mechanical Engineer

Trillium Staffing is looking for a Mechanical Engineer in Pigeon, MI!

Your responsibilities in this role:

-Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in engineering projects.
-Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in engineering, sales, continuous improvement, and research and development.
-Prepare budgets, bids, or contracts.
-Confer with management, production, or marketing staff to discuss project specifications or procedures.
-Direct, review, or approve project design changes
-Assess project and product feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, and market demand.
-Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.
-Review, recommend, or approve contracts or cost estimates.
-Present and explain proposals, reports, or findings to clients.
-Track and expedite sales opportunities to maximize sales volume, profitability, quality, on-time performance, and customer service.
-Develop or implement policies, standards, or procedures for engineering and technical work.
-Perform administrative functions, such as reviewing or writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, or purchasing of materials or services.
-Direct recruitment, placement, and evaluation of engineering project staff.

This is a succession role, previous experience is required. This is a salary position based on experience, up to $75k per year.

-Bachelor’s Degree required
-Master’s Degree preferred
-4-6 Years related experience
-Experience in estimating and project management.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Software Suite
-Familiarity with E2 Shoptech Systems Software
-Computer aided design CAD software: SolidWorks and Microstation CAD software.
-Project management software: Microsoft Project.
-Document management software.
-Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
-Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
-Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
-Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
